Current Book Project - Thor's Microsoft Security Bible (Syngress Publications
∙ Dec 2010)
|
|
|
The purpose of this book is to provide the reader with a “one-stop-shop”
for Microsoft related security techniques and procedures as applied to the typical
deployment of a Microsoft-based infrastructure. Detailed security concepts
and methodologies will be described at every level: Server, Client, Organizational
Structure, Platform-specific security options, application-centric security (IIS,
SQL, Exchange, etc) and securing Internet services. Most security publications deal
with a specific operating system or product line in singularity, at the application
level. This will be one of the only books that covers all aspects of the products
involved in Microsoft topologies, and how to secure them- not only from a product-by-product
standpoint, but how these products interact together, and how decisions made in
one area can affect the security of another.
